<< ANGER STIRRED ~ MAIN ~ DEATH DODGED >>

APOLOGISE, JEWS!

This is almost too fantastic to believe:

Newspaper publisher Fairfax has angered the Jewish community by demanding an apology for criticism of its controversial cartoonist Michael Leunig.

Let’s see them first extract apologies from Fairfax columnists Richard Glover and Michael Gawenda, both of whom have recently criticised the duck-fixated manchild. Fairfax has no idea how to handle this.

Meanwhile, the pro-war blogger-columnist community—unfairly accused by Leunig of sending his crap cartoon to Iran—is still to receive even one email of regret from Australia’s McCathyite McToonist. We are not patient people, Mr. Leunig.

UPDATE. The confused Islamic Thinkers Society protests against Leunig, who now faces the combined opposition of Fairfax columnists, News Ltd. columnists, Jews, and Muslims:
image
No point praying for Osama now, Michael. Pray for yourself. Pray to the Paddock God!

(Via speedy commenters and Shawn Wasson, who has further images; RESPONSIBLE EDITORS MUST BE PUNISHED!)

UPDATE II. Naomi Wolf has been hanging out in Leunig’s paddock:

When one of the foremost feminists in the world, who is Jewish to boot, says she has met Jesus, the ultimate figure of Christianity and the redeemer of lost souls, it’s more than a little disconcerting.

Why? Was the Saviour wearing Earth tones?

UPDATE III. A Motoon massacre:

Approximately 10 Libyans were killed in clashes with police when they tried to storm an Italian consulate in Libya this morning in protests against Danish cartoons lampooning the Prophet Mohammad, Italian officials said.

So, we’ve got clowns in New York calling for Allah’s wrath to rain down on a cartoonist who would sooner eat live mice than insult Islam, and folks storming an Italian consulate because of images published in a Danish newspaper. These people are completely insane.

  40. As truly unbelievable as this all is, its symptomatic of a general mindset in many societies, that the perpetrator/instigator is actually the ‘real’ victim.

Its a bit like when mass murderers are executed in the US. Calls for clemency discuss the way a person has changed, how the murderer had a sad upbringing, how society is to blame, though little mention is made of the convenience store owner and his wife, long dead, guilty of having worked hard.

Look around, its in our schools, our offices and in our papers. Its a game of moral eqiuvalence where the ‘wrong’ done to Leunig far, far outweighs any distress he may have caused others. Sad really.

Leunig is in line for the “wrath of Allah” because his antisemitic cartoon was accepted in an antisemitic contest run by Shi’as who are not Muslims, little better than Jews really, who are secretly controlled by the Jews in order to divide Islam and therefore Leunig’s antisemitic cartoon is only a clever ruse as part of the overall Jewish plot to destroy Islam and rule the world and so therefore Leunig who drew the cartoon is a Jew stooge who will pay the price with his head at the first opportunity.

Nothing to it once you get the hang of it.

  47. What is the matter with the western politicians and media. Every time they are offer a concession/appeasement ( the Europeans in particular) and agree to the demands of the Islam Nation adherents, or the Muslim Brotherhood, or who ever is the guiding hand in this push for an Islam Weltanschauung they have the ante upped on them.

So cartoons about suicide bombers and soccer are no longer allowed. The Islamists are now requiring the right to vett and veto or amend primary school books in Europe. The West pretends that this is about cartoons that were over the top, and tell themselves that this is just about being respectful of Muslim sensibilities. But on the way from Denmark to Egypt the decision was made by the ambassadors to hand the agenda and decision making over to the IOC, whose agenda is considerably more than peace and goodwill amongst Europeans. It is doubtful they have any interest in a happy dialogue of understanding at all.

They, the Europeans and the Islam Nation are not playing the same game. If there is one mob that does not believe in multicuturalism it is the current dominant force in Islam. Possibly compromise and appeasement has served Europe for a short while in its history. A Europe that believed it was safe from the dangers of the world with the fall of the USSR and hence could dance on into the future in a Kantian world contemptuous of a Hobbesian US.

Europe demands that the US rethink its foreign policy. It is time Europe had a hard look at it’s dominant memes, stood up and defended the rights of its citizens. The demands and threats are not going to stop. The noose is being tightened and the Islam Weltanschauung is being rapidly established.

It is not even as if at this point Australia is under particular pressure. Fairfax it seems surrenders on our behalf with out even being asked. Our very own home grown surrender monkeys.

I like the idea counter revolution. If we want to know what Fairfax is saying we need only read the triumphalists on the left wing blogs.

  50. Leunig’s appearance in the photo is indeed odd, but check out Islamic Thinkers Society website:

    http://www.islamicthinkers.com/index/index.php

They seem to hate Shi’as more than even Crusaders and Jews:

“At-Taifah Mansura(Islamic Thinkers Society) were there on February 5th to condemn Shi’ism, it’s core beliefs and practices. We were there to expose Shi’ism and the filth they stand for. From their corrupt soucres to their deviated imams whom they admire so much. We showed our baraa’ and disassociation from their filthy practices.”

And as Iran is Shi’a, their focus on Leunig might be because of the Holocaust cartoon contest or his kind words on their understanding or some such.

But then again, it’s difficult to find rational explanations for the actions of lunatics…

Indian female tennis player Sania Mirza, 19, who is ranked 39th in the world, announced that she would not play with Israeli up and coming tennis star Shahar Pe’er in the doubles tournament of the Bangalore Open for fear of violent protests by India’s Islamic community.
The two friends were prevented from cooperating in last month’s Australian Open for the same reason.
Mirza initially agreed to play with Pe’er in Bangalore, but later retracted, telling Pe’er “It’s best that we don’t play together this
time to prevent protests against my cooperation with an Israeli. There is no reason to arouse their ire (Muslims).”

  84. (Oh no, the 2005 Henchman/Minion Performance Review is finished.  And dang if they didn’t publish it in the Wall Street Journal)

Have you ever noticed how on a scale of one to 10, every untoward event in the life of the Bush presidency goes straight to a 10?

The Abu Ghraib photos? A 10 forever.

(oh oh, remembers starting Abu Ghraib photo club as a civilian outreach program to help soldiers get a hobby)

Dick Cheney catching a hunting buddy with some birdshot? An instant 10.

(winces, remembers Karl’s admonition that Cheney never be allowed to go hunting ever since the Wounded Knee misunderstanding)

The Bush National Guard story? Total 10.

(well, that was McEnroe’s idea, not mine)

How can it be that each downside event in this presidency greets the public at this one, screeching level of outrage and denunciation by the out-of-power party and a perpetually outraged media?

(shifts in seat, pulls tie off)

Here are some of the political and media bonfires that have been lit on the White House lawn, stoked and reignited the past five years:

(braces for a potentially unpleasant rendering)

    the “stolen” 2000 election

(me, SDD, McEnroe, PW, Dave S, RebeccaH),

    Halliburton

(dang, that’s all of us ),

    “Fahrenheit 9/11”

(that’s not me, lay that one on Fat Pig Moore),

Cheney lives in an “undisclosed location,”

(uh, yeah, probably shouldn’t have blurted that out at the White House luncheon)

    Abu Ghraib,

(who knew they would take 200 pictures of Iraqi prisoners in pyramids?  I told them take some snapshots of birds, get the pretty birds)

    torture at Guantanamo,

(hey, that Koran slipped into the toilet, it was an accident, see I was eating some bacon, I needed a book to rest my plate on, my fingers were greasy and),

    Bush lied about WMD,

(I thought that meant Marcus Welby MD, I swear)

    secret CIA prison sites,

(well, not anymore, thank you very much Stoop Davy Dave)

Valerie Plame, the neocons, Rumsfeld, Cheney’s “secret” energy task force, Cindy Sheehan, Bush is destroying Social Security, Hurricane Katrina, Jack Abramoff, illegal wiretaps, Bill Frist’s stock sales ...

(yes, well, it was a tough year, and have you ever worked with a motley crew like Stoop Davy Dave, PW, Michael Lonie, and Dave S?  To quote Colonel Klink, I have the dregs, the dregs I tell you).

    Admittedly it’s a partial list.

(partial list?  That’s my fucking performance reviews for the past five years, how about our sucesses?  How about the lakes?)

  85. Charming lot the Islamic Thinking Society

Egyptian journalist ’Adel Guindy on Tariq Ramadan, Islamic Thinking Society, Muslim Brotherhood.

Some thoughts of Tariq (Antony Lowenstein appears to be a fan)

Ramadan calls on Muslims not to assimilate in Western culture but to create “an alternative Islamic European culture that is clean of all non-Islamic influences…

According to Tariq Ramadan, educating children “in a way that is opposed to Islam,” as occurs in public schools in the West, is “aggression against the Islamic personality of the child.” Ramadan calls on pupils to integrate into public education for practical reasons, but encourages them to ask questions, argue, and criticize every time they encounter anything that is incompatible with Islam in classes like biology, history, or philosophy. Similarly, [Ramadan also “calls upon girls to refrain from sports activity if it includes any exposure of their body to men

He regards “critical thought” as “Western extremism.”
rationalism now means “the rational path to rediscovering the faith,” and should no longer be understood as “critical thought” regarding issues of faith as Western philosophers understood it.

When I live in a country or when I am a citizen in it, I respect its constitution. This is an Islamic principle.” However, he hastens to qualify this statement by stressing that a country’s constitution and laws must only be respected “as long as there is no social, cultural, economic, or legal aspect in that country that contradicts any Islamic principle.” He makes it quite clear that “the Muslim respects the laws of the country only if they do not contradict any Islamic principle.”

    And says Guindy

Doublespeak is the key to understanding Tariq Ramadan

Today, this method [of doublespeak and taqiyya] is used in the heart of the Western democracies, not due to fear of exposure, but in order to continue the secret advance [towards defined goals] without worrying anyone. Thus, a body such as The Union of Islamic Organizations in France can harshly condemn suicide operations, while the Fatwa Council of the same organization simultaneously issues a clear fatwa legitimizing these operations

    To paraphrase:

Frollickingmole, I have absolutely no idea about the size of Keating’s clock, or when he began to prefer to have strapping, buff, firm-buttocked young fellows polish it for him.

But I believe that they are the sort of strapping young gentlemen who greatly enjoy polishing each other’s clocks. Perhaps this is in order to better practice polishing Paul’s older (and apparently ornate) clock.

But his wife had left him (poor fellow), unlike you and I, so perhaps she was unable to stand polishing it any more. The MSM here state that Paul keating’s clock is not of unusual size, but is apparently very old, and very ornate. Something to do with France, I understand, where clock polishing is all politicians there actually do.
I wish to know no further details about Paul’s clock.
    Ever.
    With bells on.

I’d like to express my admiration for your wife’s dedication in polishing your clock for hours at a time, my wife and I have been married for 20+ years, and I have to say I never tire of watching the admirable way she polishes my own clock. She too seems to think it a worthwhile thing to do. I suspect we both married real women.

Meanwhile, the NSW police are tiring of the catfight currently raging, and are threatening to bring in their ultimate clock polishers catfight eradication weapon.

  111. #90 Susan,
The Muslim position is that Jesus did not die on the cross.  Muslim “respect” for the prophets prior to Muhammed is based on their beleif that such prophets were really Muslims, and their teachings corrupted by the nasty Jews and Christians into non-Muslim credos.  Thius is sort of like the Muslims appropriating everybody else’s holy sites to build their mosques on, they appropriate the religious history of othe faiths and bend it to their own use, when they do not actually break it.

    Wronwright,

firstly -apologies for thinking you might be Michael Leunig in drag when you responded to my post on Jan 1 which stated that even in a coma Sharon, who blew up wheelchair bound holy clerics, could direct the Zionist cabal .

Your point shows how Muslims respond to any claims that Jews have about living in Israel prior to Islam.
There were all “proto muslims” unaware of their real faith since Mo had not yet been born.QED Jews have noplace in Israel.

  114. Regarding two things Michael Lonie said #111
    “#90 Susan,
The Muslim position is that Jesus did not die on the cross.  Muslim “respect” for the prophets prior to Muhammad is based on their beleif (sic) that such prophets were really Muslims, and their teachings corrupted by the nasty Jews and Christians into non-Muslim credos.”

This is true. Al-lah, they believe, caused people to only think that Jesus died on the cross. This is a case of a god deceiving people. If you believe in a deceiving god, and a prophet who applauded murder, then you get a faith that produces the kind of reactions we are seeing today

“Thius (sic) is sort of like the Muslims appropriating everybody else’s holy sites to build their mosques on, they appropriate the religious history of other faiths and bend it to their own use, when they do not actually break it.”- Michael Lonie

They even confuse their own holy sites! A classic case is the al-aqsa mosque. It means ‘the furthest mosque’. In the days of Muhammad he told his followers that one night he visited the ‘furthest mosque’, many years after he died and the Moslem mob had taken over Jerusalem they built the ‘al-aqsa’ mosque. Most Moslems now believe that this is the mosque mentioned in the Koran and believe that Muhammad visited it, even though it was never built during his life!
