BELIEFS STATED
CBS columnist Dotty Lynch goes all Beatlemania over “tall and proud” John Kerry:
Kerry may be reflecting a new boldness on the part of liberals to come out and say what they believe and to reclaim the moral high ground on patriotism.
So Kerry wasn’t saying what he believed when he ran for President. (Which was noticed at the time.) Good luck reclaiming the moral high ground, Senator Nancybike.
UPDATE. Another Bush opponent says what he thinks:
“It feels like a slap in the face having President Bush come here on Earth Day,” said Curtis Harding, 24, who grew up in St. Helena and lives in Sacramento. “I could go yell somewhere else, but people would think I’m crazy.”
Harding said Bush’s policies are harming the environment, and added that “when a bomb goes off, that has a huge, indirect effect on global warming.”
Especially when he bombs polar bears.

“CBS columnist Dotty Lynch . . .” Whoa! Stop right there! Is that a personal name or a psychological opinion?
“Kerry may be reflecting a new boldness on the part of liberals to come out and say what they believe and to reclaim the moral high ground on patriotism.” What a news flash that one is: Liberals Air Beliefs, “Really Mean It” this Time.
And just how are liberals going to “reclaim the moral high ground on patriotism”? Eminent domain confiscation?
“when a bomb goes off, that has a huge, indirect effect on global warming.”
Whatsamatta Harding? Cut a BIG one in the Cereal aisle and now people are coming down the aisle…and this piece of brilliance hit you...Yeah, I’ll blame Bush.
If the left ever gets control of this country…we will either be picking them off as they pass…(hey IED’s…wow), OR all growing beards, including the women.
I’m not familiar with this Dotty Lynch person, but she obviously is well practiced in the art of delivering Lewinskies. You go, girl; was it as good for you as it was for John?
Perhaps Mr. Harding is from Rio Linda, Cid.
Liberals already occupy the high moral ground on patriotism, Paco. After all “dissent is the greatest form of patriotism”. Odd that Ms. Lynch missed that. Must be the close proximity to the real John Kerry, tall and proud, made her all giddy and lightheaded.

Bugsy was wack!Posted by Stoop Davy Dave on 2006 04 24 at 04:32 PM • permalinkIf the columnist showed a lick of sense otherwise, I’d have suspected a subtle dig in that phrase “his current position on Iraq”.
Note the appearance of the 18th-century equivalent of the plastic turkey: the bogus Jefferson quote.

As opposed to now, when they know you’re stupid.
RebeccaH, Kerry yearns for the moral clarity he enjoyed in the 70s as a war criminal. They were all war criminals back then, but he was the moral one. Sort of like how boy bands always have a “smart one,” a “moody one,” and a “rebel.”

Bush is reducing world population so mother earth and withstanding the impact of billions of polluting people.

Does that include all the bombs the terrorists are setting off in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Israel? Moonbats like this guy seem to think that IEDs, car bombs, and Semtex belts are some kinds of US ordnance.

It has a HUGE effect on 50m Radius Warming. I think its effect on Global Warming is somewhat less than that. Curtis, your crack pipe is contributing so much more to Global Warming, as does your breathing. Please cease both immediately.
22. Don’t trademark that last sentence, it’s too wonderful not to stea, I mean share.

“Once when another producer at CBS and I spoke to the campaign about a profile we were thinking about which would juxta-play both facets of his biography, they greeted us with dismay. “Would you have to go into the protests?” they asked. They decided against letting Kerry be interviewed for that profile.”
Juxta-play? Where’s our new friend DuBrow when you need him?
