CEASEFIRE CEASED
No more rockets:
Palestinian militants will cease rocket attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip, President Mahmoud Abbas told Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in a telephone call ...
Well, maybe not:
A Kassam rocket, fired from the Gaza Strip, landed in open territory in the western Negev on Sunday morning, less than an hour after the ceasefire declared by the Palestinians became effective.
UPDATE. More rockets:
Israeli troops withdrew from the Gaza Strip as a last-minute cease-fire deal took hold Sunday morning, but two major Palestinian militant groups, saying they had no intention of stopping their attacks, fired volleys of homemade rockets into Israel.
Well, that was a big surprise. A “remarkable show of self-restraint” indeed.

Posted by Matthew Lawrence on 2006 11 26 at 03:35 AM • permalinkI am sure the world will somehow find a way to blame the ‘breaking of the ceasefire’ on Israel.
How the fuck can Abbas seriously contemplate trying to stop ‘militants’ (um, ‘terrorists’, cough) when he has absolutely no power over them. He is a fucking idiot for thinking that he can.
Less than one hour. Yeah well, that may be a record for them, somewhat. I think they refused statehood, on each occasion, even quicker - 10 minutes top.

If Olmert also starts to talk peace Hammas will send in another wave of suicide bomber grannies and the British lefists will start dancing in the streets of London again.
Next thing the french will offer to “monitor” the cease fire!!Well Im suprised!
I bet it was those sneaky JoooS who set it off themselves to demonise the happy kite flying people of palestine! Whre childern frollick in grassy medows, and millions of MENSA members strive to improve the lives of generations to come. The elderly are revered for their wisdom and the realm of religion never interfears.
Im sure they are led by a wonderful shy unicorn whos only thoughts are how to improve the lives of those he serves.

Palestinian militants will cease rocket attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip
And they did. Of course, the agreement didn’t stop rocket “defensive actions on the Zionist entity”. It’s all in the semantics.
#11 and #12
Hahahaha. Daylight saving. I like that one.
I am surprised even if they can afford watches, with all the money that goes towards buying rockets.
They will probably argue that the rocket fired was a signal that the ceasefire had begun, that’s all. Any excuse these morons can think of, they will use it.

Posted by Rob Crawford on 2006 11 26 at 09:51 AM • permalink‘Homemade’ rockets eh? I’d bet you dollars to yen that there are more than a few metal workshops in Israel that could whip up a batch of Katushyas in a few days. (Its a Russian design from WW2)
Send 50 or 100 ‘homemade’ rockets over the border in the other direction.
Every day for 6 months.
Then ask Hamas, Fatah, et al if they still want to play.
Disproportionate force is the only way to deal with these subhuman cockroaches.

Rebeccah, indeed it does. It means “cease protesting, start firing.”
Posted by ElectronPower on 2006 11 26 at 02:14 PM • permalinkWhich group fired the rockets?
Was it the People’s Front of Judea or the Judean People’s Front?
I can never work out which group is which.

Hey, they almost made it one hour! That’s a remarkable show of self-restraint for Palestinians.
