COMMENCE IMPEACHMENT

One of the notorious Bush-Abramoff photographs—previously hidden from the public, presumably to avoid rioting—has finally been published. It’s incredibly damning!

  1. You can see him controlling Bush with his mind rays!!!

  2. Clearly Bush went within 20 feet of this guy and should resign. Or something.

  3. Is there a cartoon of this closely-personal meeting yet? I hope not; it might inflame the Democratic Street.

  4. Andrew Sullivan on someone standing 15 feet from Bush, straining to be in the same photo: “the notion that the president barely knew the most powerful Republican lobbyist in Washington is, well, silly.”

I stood a foot from Rudy Giuliani once.  Therefore I am the mayor of New York.

  5. Hey, I was in a crowd that greeted President Bush (Dubya’s father).  I came within 20 feet of him.

And Time Magazine never posted my photograph.  The bastards.

  6. Every boiler-room stock jobber and real-estate fraud in Orange County has the same wall of photos:  posing with Reagan, posing with Clinton, posing with Bush 1. Add Carter and/or Bush 2 depening on the guy’s age and where in the state he lives.  These handshake pics are a simple cash transaction for both political parties to their donors.

This doesn’t even rise to that level of “intimacy.”

  7. Mike G — I stood across the counter at Kinko’s from Ron Jeremy once.  Does that make me a porn star?  Oh, Jenna, sweetie…

  8. I once dated a guy who told me he and Bush had a photo taken of them together.  He was right.  There was George, shaking hands with someone else, and there was Clownboy, a few feet away, serving up some lunch…

  9. Personally, I’ll await the DNA tests on that stain on Abramoff’s pants before I form any opinion.

  10. Just wait until Bush pardons him and a shitload of other felons and fugitives the day he leaves office… won’t the Dems be outraged…

  12. Yasser Arafat was photographed in the White House with Bill Clinton.  Plenty of the world’s nastiest people have been there and had their picture taken with the sitting president.  I’m overwhelmingly unimpressed with a photo of Abramoff and Bush in which Abramoff has to be circled in order to be identified.

  13. My Dad once posed with Chuck Yeager, but a Mooney pilot could only break the sound barrier in the “reality based” community.

  14. Hmmmmmm, trying to think of the most famous individuals I had my picture taken with…My brother who fought with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific, WWII…My Father-in-Law who was parachuted behind German lines in 1944, to save a bridge.

Guess I’m a conspirator to atrocities* by association, huh?

*asterisk explained, at least by some leftists standard.

No, but it might put you in need of a good long soak in a 50/50 solution of Inferon and Clorox bleach. And I hope you burnt the counter.

  16. At least the search for such an incriminating picture likely kept hundreds of borderline insane Democrat operatives busy and off the streets for several weeks. Compassionate conservatism in action.

  18. Does anyone remember that photo leftoid bloggers produced that proved (ahem) that Dick Cheney lied when he said he had never met John Edwards before, where Edwards was several meters behind Dick Cheney and they were facing the other way. Well this is even more damning than that.

  21. Isn’t there a sura or hadith prohibiting images of Our Leader?  If there isn’t there sure oughta be, and on that basis I’m declaring a fatwah against the photographer and all who publish this blasphemy.

Okay, Tim, you get a one time absolution, and that’s only becase I live on the same continent as Andrea.  I’d like to keep living on that continent.  But everybody else… as soon as I get a machete and a bunch of burlap sacks I’m coming over!

  23. Richard; I hope you meant Orange County, New York not the one CA.  Besides its Salt Lake County where most of the penny stock hypsters and boiler rooms operate now.

  24. Rob C.  He was getting his resume copied.  As God is my witness, it was in pencil.

Pat Patterson — Back when I ran into them it was OC CA.  This was back around when the whole county went bankrupt…
