DEATH ANTICIPATED
Activist Buddy Spell at the Air America forum sends an update from Cindy Sheehan, who is demanding a (second) meeting with George W. Bush over the death of her son:
Briefly, I just got off of the telephone with Cindy at 10:58 PM (CST).
She’s on the side of the road with six (6) other activists.
They expect others to arrive from the VFP convention in Dallas to spend the night with them tonight.
Cindy says that the protesters will be killed if they stay the night.
“We’re not letting them intimidate us. If we get killed out here, know that the Secret Service killed us.”
She asks that we all light candles in solidarity and looks forward to more company in the days ahead.
What? After she’s been killed? Meanwhile:
Family members of Cindy Sheehan, the Vacaville woman camped outside President Bush’s ranch in Texas protesting the war in Iraq, reportedly have denounced her actions.
In an e-mail to a San Francisco radio station, Cherie Quartarolo, a sister-in-law and godmother of Sheehan’s son, who was killed in action in Iraq in 2004, said: “We do not agree with the political motivations and publicity tactics of Cindy Sheehan. She now appears to be promoting her own personal agenda and notoriety at the expense of her son’s good name and reputation.’
UPDATE. Dorkafork in comments:
It’s an all out brawl, with the winner to be crowned “Absolute Moral Authority”. But what’s this? A tag team match! Here comes Big Jim Krause! A father who also lost his son in combat. He met Sheehan before at the meeting with President Bush, now they meet again as foes! Whose moral authority will reign absolute? Find out Sunday Sunday SUNDAY!
This is no longer about Cindy Sheehan’s son, but about Cindy Sheehan. The moment her grief turned into mere Bush-bashing hatred, I think she forfeited her right to sympathy. She is dishonoring her son’s memory, cheapening his sacrifice, and playing right into the hands of people whose real sympathy lies with her son’s murderers. The charitable tack is simply to assume that she’s become unhinged; how else to explain her fantastic notion that she and her “minders” are all going to be gunned down? Or the even more fantastic notion that, in spite of such a massacre, more of her ilk are going to be willing to present themselves for slaughter?
Here’s a link to a story from LAST YEAR when Mom was spewing more nonsense from her noise hole.
Link - > Sheehan SPEAKS (again)
Interestingly enough, her son died in April 2004. IMO, Sheehan has gone from “grief pimp” to “attention whore”. No wonder the family is bent with her. It’s time to “MoveOn.org” dear…
C’mon Cindy…take a shower, wash off all that patchouli oil, put on some decent clothes (lose the boonie hat) and join the rest of us with productive lives. Perhaps you could volunteer your time at the facility on Fort Hood named after your son? That would be honoring his memory too.
Over at the Huffington Post they’re laying it on pretty thick, proclaiming Cindy Sheehan to be their personal hero. One even compared “Camp Cindy” to Tiananmen Square. I’m not joking. The liberals think this is a big tipping point for them. Here’s one delight from Gary Hart:
“When the last Marine leaves Iraq, dead or alive, [Cindy Sheehan] can claim more credit than them all.”
I predict that by week’s out they will suggest her nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize. Or at the very least, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Glad to see that lefty law professors are able to keep their heads about them.
I have no doubt now that Sheehan is deranged, and the blame for that lies squarely on her associates and enablers. She really is a victim, but not of Bush and the VRWC.
I suppose for the hysterical, pants wetting drama queens on the left, the best possible outcome would be for Sheehan to commit suicide, giving them a martyr. Somebody better tell her not to eat or drink anything her “friends” prepare.

The lefties are so stupid that they now believe their own lying propaganda. She should know how silly that sounds. If Mikey Moore is still walking around free and unenbumbered after putting out enemy propaganda in time of de facto war Cindy is hardly likely to raise any kind of a fuss with the authorities, let alone a killing.
Intelligent lefty agitprop agents don’t believe the lies they tell, as Communist propagandist extraordinaire Willi Munzenburg could have told our moonbats if he had not been murdered by his own side. If the moorons and kostwits are believing their own agitprop, they are doomed.
Posted by Michael Lonie on 2005 08 12 at 07:23 PM • permalinkInstead of protesting President Bush now, shouldn’t Sheehan had protested her son’s courageous decision to join the military then? Possibly she could have camped outside his bedroom demanding the right to speak to him. She could have been joined by her liberal fellow travellers. But I wonder if any of them, including her, cared enough to do so. What kind of media or publicity could they have gathered for that?
Evidently he knew the right decision to be made then, as President Bush knows the right decisions to be made now.
I do have sympathy for the loss of her son. But to exploit his death for the sake of making her famous and to obtain some fleeting feeling of moral superiority is simply unacceptable.

We also were advised several times by the SS that if we remained where we were we could get hurt
Common sense was certainly not involved.

Cindy meet ex magistrate Deegan.
Also not worthy of his son who died in the Bali bombing.
STILL being bandied about and manipulated by the abc in interviews.Still blaming John Howard,Bush and Blair.
Unfortunately for ms abc who led him on into a dorothy dix interview, the public no longer appear sympathetic.
Both her and her whining subject were taken to task most severely by listeners.
