<< THAT'S RICH! ~ MAIN ~ CONSPIRACY CORNER >>

Do not adjust your mindsets…..

Tim Dunlop here, checking in.  My blog, The Road to Surfdom, is currently migrating to a new server. Unfortunately this process has taken longer than I thought—migration can be like that—so Tim has been kind enough to offer me asylum on these shores (rumours that I was stopped at the border and was seen throwing posts overboard are greatly exaggerated).

Some people in comments below expressed concern that it might get a bit confusing around here having two Tims posting, but I suspect the content of the posts will provide sufficient differentiation.  To say the friggin’ least.  Following the unofficial convention we use at other sites, lets call me Tim and Tim tim.

Still, no doubt many will miss this post and find themselves in their own personal Crying Game, having logged onto tim’s site and wound up reading Tim’s posts.  To such people, apologies in advance….

Anyway, just wanted to say g’day, thank Tim once again, and I’ll be back soon with a proper post; I’m thinking something along the lines of why George W. Bush is such a dick or how John Howard is destroying Western civilisation…

A suggestion: criticising George Bush or John Howard should be safe enough, but you might want to avoid mentioning plastic turkeys, or saying any one said anything about being deputy sheriff….

I am going to sit back and watch the fun, here, when ‘reality based community’based on how the world should work - but doesn’t (belongum Tim) meets ‘reality based community’ (belongum Tim) based on how the world actually does work - in day to day reality.

Tim (D) and Tim (B), some of your flakier denizens ain’t gonna like this.

  13. Imus, back on 9/12 or so, said Bush was the right man for the job because Bush was enough of a prick to pull the trigger.

Which I guess he did, though in a nicer way than was expected ; rather than killing them all, he’s introducing democracy.  We will no longer co-inhabit the globe with 11th century governments.  So he’s sort of a dick, stupidly imposing this idea of his.

Imus has since then turned into a panty-wearing liberal.

Bush is fairly eloquent about it; and sometimes not http://rhhardin.home.mindspring.com/imuscut.bushpope.ram a divergence that needs explanation.

See, some of us Americans know something about Australia and comedy. Unlike the decidedly unfunny Rich Hall.

Six degrees of separation moment.  The cover art for FST’s “Fighting Clowns” album was created by the decidedly funny Phil Hartmann, who also appeared on SNL as did the aforementioned unfunny Rich Hall.

Seriously though Tim and Tim tim, as others have alluded, apart from being a whacko, petticoat over the head raving moonbat, you seem like a fairly normal sort of guy (unless there is more relevance to the “Crying Game” reference?)
So its good to see this bit of cooperation as a reminder that Left and Right - despite appearances - can be ideological enemies without being mortal enemies.

  34. Tim Dunlop needs to ask himself: “Why does the server hate me?”. I think we must acknowledge that blame for the server problems lies with both Dunlop and the server, but Dunlop must bear the bulk of the responsibility. I certainly hope Dunlop isn’t unwise enough to take unilateral action against the service provider, as that would only provoke greater disasters in future.

  57. Following on/moving into the/the Tim/Tim detente/al detente…

I want to make very clear/dance around the issue that frankly you dickhead RWDBs/ you smug and dumb lefties have hit the nail on the head/lost the plot when it comes to how the world is now working out/screwing up so badly.

From where I stand/sit, it’s bloody obvious/not an easy choice.  It’s polarising/coming together into those that that hate freedom/having the freedom to hate. There is only one way/several ways forward here/or there.

Should we grasp the bull by the horns/get on the horn to grasp the bull? I think not/it’s about time. So I say to other Australians/to all hopeful peoples of the world. Now is the time to come together/accept we’re all different and glory in/take up the challenge of this indisputable fact/ difference of opinion. It sounds easy/hard but we have done this before/are ready to rise to a new challenge.

Tim/Tim are putting the future behind them - a clear statement/subtle gesture/challenge/pointless third way for all of us/those who aren’t us/you over there pinching my ciggies.

All that’s left to say/there’s nothing more to be said/can be summed up in a few words/cannot be captured in words. And it is this/or something else. When is said is said and done/as so much remains to be said, we can all agree on one thing/except those who can’t.

The Pies have got Buckleys this year.

    I’ll leave you with a universal/unique moving message/bizarre shit.
