ENGINE MUSIC

Mahmood is right:

It’s a beautiful day, you all should be out enjoying it, and what better way to do so but be at the track enjoying the symphony of engine music?

Click (and click again) for more from Bahrain. Lots of fine pics. Mahmood: bringing people together through the healing power of hydrocarbons!

UPDATE. Speaking of engine music, Iowahawk has survived his Mexican hell-tour. Further terrible details still to emerge.

  1. I’ve had a few drinks while listening to Bob Dylan but this made me feel even better.

  4. Right now (6 am), it’s 26 here (for those of you who have been seduced by the Dark Side, that’s about -3 C.) I blame Halliburton.

  5. From Mahmood’s banner: An Arab man’s attempt at bridging the cultural gap.
I would think Miss V8 will go a long way towards achieving that noble aim.

Iowahawk has posted an UPDATE on his trip. It’s a Youtube video; Jose Cuervo is mentioned in the credits at the end.

  10. Good lord.  I felt like I watched that cursed video in The Ring.  I couldn’t make out any plot in the film.  I hope my phone doesn’t ring now telling me I have 7 days to live.

You’re probably aware that Oz exports three times as many Statesmans/Caprices to the Middle East (as the Chevrolet Caprice model; and to China as the Buick Park Avenue) than are sold locally.

Our Caprice model has been transformed to the sportier of the two (stiffer suspension, etc.) since the WK model, since it has been sold in the Middle East as the Chevrolet Caprice SS.

Sadly, Ford, who introduced the long wheelbase class to Oz in the 60s, have ceased production of their Fairlane/LTD range.
