Please enjoy her whole travelogue. You don’t want to miss the Hereford to Shrewsbury leg, which includes a thrilling sheep auction. Tonight she’s meeting Norm Geras in Manchester—once he returns from day three of the Third Test.

  1. Iowahawk is simply one of the coolest bloggers around. And definitely the funniest (funniest American blogger, anyway). Anybody who needs a laugh should truck over there and start fishing in his archives. The noir-type satires on Dan Rather (“My name’s Rather, and I’m a dick”) are not to be missed.

  4. Not just any hot rod, mind you, but the real thing: early Ford steel, overcarbed mill, three figure budget, parts gleaned from swap meets and the Pick ‘N’ Pull mud, put together in dusty garage with hammers, henrobs and busted knuckles.

    What’s a henrob?

  5. A: a chicken bank

    Hyuk hyuk…

  6. Hyuk hyuk indeed, mojo.

    Actually, here’s a real henrob.

Tim - If you make it to Chicagoland this year, you get first media test drive.

  7. I’ll be THERE, Burge! But first I’m sending a gospel singer (seriously). She’ll be in your town within weeks; it’s her first visit to the US. Email on this to follow.

  8. Good luck getting her fixed up iowahawk.

Those wheels don’t look original though.

  9. I wouldn’t mind working at the Morgan factory.

Looking at the pictures it appears they have a few openings.

  11. Just as an aside, but I saw a restored 1947 GM pickup today.  It was a beaut!

  12. I hope that’s just a lot of surface rust, otherwise Burge is looking at dropping some big bucks.

  14. What’s a henrob?

    It’s a close cousin to a henway.

  15. Oh, no, Dave. You’re not getting me with that henway trick again, you rascal.

  16. Those Morganites have excellent taste in wallpaper. Pity you can’t find it in Australian workplaces any more.
