Actually, Wil Anderson is another comedian whose best work is when he’s NOT talking politics or Iraq or Bush. Which leaves about 1 minute of the Glasshouse when he’s oggling at Corinne. It’s tragic really - as he can be funny when talking about things he understands. Like pussy man nail polish. So kewl!
dee ... in a more serious vein ... i’ve been spending too much time at paul & carls ... it shows ... anyway, australians are generally too easy going and this virtue might also be our undoing. many australians are too laid back to notice or even respond to what i regard as a cultural cancer ... we need leaders with guts to respond to this illegal behaviour masquerading as multi-culturism, religion or polical correctness.
i’m on a roll ... i used to stay up as a young teenager in the early 70s to watch the test pattern commence on channel seven in sydney, which was usually after midnight ... it started with a goodnight cartoon which included a pair of tits being flashed in the cartoon sequence ... not only was i rebelling at staying up really late as a young boy, but i got my jollys as well ... channel seven still rocks ... stevo
greenpike ... i don’t mind the glasshouse (usually), especially dave hughes who is stupid and imho quite funny ... but the political satire shows its abc (public broadcaster) heritage and drags a good show down to something a tad less desirable. i can and do laugh at jokes directed at both sides of politics, but the jokes wear thin when they lean to one target.
That’s a nice promotion poster; all it needs are skull and cross bones to balance out all that text and drab background.
But no doubt Sheikh Feiz Muhammad is a man of peace, and completely and enthusiastically immersed in our wonderful multicultural world, and this poster was printed by mistake. Things like that happen all the time. Don’t they?

He seemed to be the least talented of all the troupe, always given the same stammering, overwhelmed character to play in every sketch.
I point this out because for the rest of the cast one could at least overlook some political idiocy by noting, “Well, he’s a very good comic player, anyway.”

You lot probably think those DVDs contain bomb making instructions or something equally sinister.
No siree! Those DVDs explain death in the words of the Prophet Mahommed (pbuh), how to care for and discuss this important and terminal meeting with Allah (swt) with relatives and friends.
They explain the different types of death (martyrdom, natural causes, death through infidel intervention, death through unsafe practices with goats, and death through unsafe drinking water), and what heavenly reward one is likely to see as a result.
You infidel scum always take things like this out of context. It’s enough to make the Baby Mahommed cry.

I just don’t beleive some of the crap I hear from the likes of the UN and Amnesty.
First they tell us that hundreds of thousands of people are dying in Saddam’s Iraq and then they say well not really…now it is worse.
I have no doubt the fighting has made life difficult for people and I know the economy in that country needs a lot of help, but I have not noticed people starving. They may not have much and the water and sewage problems were always there.
After years of being accused of starving Iraqi children with sanctions it really pisses me off to hear the same people say they were better off then in the good old days.

My initial interest in Mr. Blair’s site was due to certain comments he made.
I have engaged Mr. Blair privately, and enjoyed meaningful interaction with many contributors. With the exception of one contributor, who was quickly criticised by other contributors, I have seen no evidence to suggest that either Mr. Blair, or a majority of contributors are racist.
I am 34 years old, of Egyptian heritage, and a proud Australian who loves cricket and Rugby League.

I think many if not most of us can separate the brilliance of an actor’s or comedian’s acting or humor from the lunacy or short-sightedness of his political comments. Personally I think Terry Jones is funny as hell. I also think George Clooney is a terrific actor as if Tim Robbins, Heath Ledger, and so on.
But their political views do invite satire and sarcasm. I have no problem with complimenting on one aspect and ridiculing them on the other.
