SHEIK SPEAKS
The SMH’s Peter Hartcher reports:
The leading Muslim cleric Sheik Taj el-Din al Hilaly was on the TV news a couple of weeks ago speaking about how important it is for immigrants to Australia to learn English. He was speaking in Arabic.
After living in the country for nearly 20 years, the voice of Islam in Australia was unable to speak in English. It was being relayed to the audience by a translator.
Worse than that, Tim. He can speak passable English, or a least read a speech.
But, like the ambassador of an unfriendly country, he deliberately refuses to talk directly to the Infidel Foreigner.
He would never quote from the Q’ran in English either.Yet this hypocrite claims to be a ‘good Aussie’ at the same time.
Australia is now a crock of crap country.
Migrants don’t bother coming here.
We’re in drought and it’s really boring with foreign people living here who don’t speak english only islamic arab. AND only when it’s convenient are we allowed to be real aussies, like at olympics, commonwealth games or in movies like paul hogan or when the lefties don’t want Anglo culture here anymore or they don’t want it to be.
So let’s have more islamic somalians live here so we can harvest a more african islamic feel here.
If the man is trying to convince immegrants that they should learn English, he’s *obviously* talking to those who *haven’t* learned English. It makes perfect sense that he would speak to them in a language they understood.
It’s very good that he came out and said this, so stop being so picky already.
Overriding reason why “true” Muslims cannot and will not integrate into western society: The Prophet has instructed Muslims to treat the kufr (infidels) at all times as unclean. They should therefore not form close friendships with them, and should stop their kids doing likewise.
“You will not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day making friendship with and loving those who oppose Allah and His Messenger PBUH, even if they are their fathers or their sons or their kindred.” Sura 58:22
Ask the Sunni imam! He says close friendships with non-Muslims, and of course the filthy Shiites are haram.

“Speaking is a means to achieve objectives. If a praiseworthy aim is attainable through both telling the truth and lying, it is unlawful to accomplish it through lying because there is no need for it. When it is possible to achieve such an aim by lying but not by telling the truth, it is permissible to lie if attaining the goal is permissible…, and obligatory to lie if the goal is obligatory. ...One should compare the bad consequences entailed by lying to those entailed by telling the truth, and if the consequences of telling the truth are more damaging, one is entitled to lie…”

First paragraph of the Introduction
The word “al-Taqiyya” literally means: “Concealing or disguising one’s
beliefs, convictions, ideas, feelings, opinions, and/or strategies at a
time of eminent danger, whether now or later in time, to save oneself from
physical and/or mental injury.” A one-word translation would be
“Dissimulation.”This speech is an example of Taqiyya. The speaker is saying to his flock, “these are the words our enemy wishes us to say, but this is the true language in which all words of value must be spoken.”
“Do as I say, not as I do” is the hallmark of Islamic leadership. You know, the type who tell others to strap on bomb belts and kill the infidel?

He uses a translater most of the time, not just when discussing this subject.
I understand what you’re saying, and it’s very fair-minded of you not to condemn him over one incident.
But to provide a bit of background, this man has a long history of bad and sometimes blatantly dishonest behaviour - for example, in the 1980s, he was almost thrown out of the country for racist hate-speech. He still occassionally says extreme things, but he has been getting gradually more media-savvy (plus he has citizenshp now as well).
The Daily Telegraph has given Keysar Trad and Irfan Yusuf their own blogs.
Trad got hammered. When challenged with the disproportionate number of Lebanese-Muslim bashers and criminals, he argued:
I am sorry also that so many in our society use the ethnic label to seperate Australians.
to which someone responded:
What’s the name of your organisation?
You are a clown!
Trad’s reply:
My organisation is called the Islamic Friendship Association of Australia Inc. I am glad that you find some humour in my work.
It would appear the Tele weren’t moderating comments very harshly.

Irfan,
You fat, smelly pakistani!
To which Yusuf replies:
Mat is a NSW Young Liberal. See what I mean about John Howard’s failure to deal with extremism in his home branch? With comments like that made by Young Liberal leaders, who would want these people ruling NSW? I feel sorry for Pru Goward and all the other talented people who must put up with this riff raff in their party.
It is of course unclear who actually posted it, but clearly John Howard is an extremist. It is also fascinating what you’ll find in a Google search for fat smelly Pakistani.
The Sheik could take his own advice. Bloody idiot.

Being able to speak English is not so much about satisfying the Ruxtons that immigrants should be here, but more about ensuring that immigrants are able to function effectively in society by being able to get a job, interact with government, and interact with other Australians, no matter where they are from.

Personally, I think the West should do the same thing I want to do badly to my in-laws. Place a bar against moving in, explaining that it’s simply not working. They don’t assimilate, this has created vast problems, and they have done virtually zilch to alleviate the problem. So go back home and nag the shit out of someone there for a change.
