Lookin’ good, Habib:
image

Former Guantanamo Bay detainee turned independent state candidate Mamdouh Habib yesterday launched his political campaign - by littering ...

Before speaking to the media he stubbed the cigarette out with his foot, leaving the butt on the ground.

He then went on to say voters had no business knowing what he was up to while he was in Afghanistan ...

Mr Habib’s campaign manager Raul Bassi said Mr Habib did not have a major backer but admitted they were linked to the Socialist Alliance political party.

But of course.

  3. I think he is being a bit hasty. Could he not wait for his running mate and comrade Mohamad Dawood to get back. It would at least go a little further to helping the ALP. Whew, how much more desparate can the left be getting? Then again, with a bit of luck, we won’t be seeing good ol’ Dawood back here in the near future.

Lets look at the reasons that we should not vote for this chap:
He is barely literate and inarticulate.
He is at the very least an idiot but at worst he is a supporter of the Jihadists.
He is a smoker and a Litterbug…what a bad example for the children
Finally he is stupid enough to let the Socialist Alliance use him as a front man…

  16. I love the fact he’s just shat on potential supporters by telling them what he was doing in Afghanistan is none of their business.

Way to go, Mamdouh. Treat the voters with the contempt you so obviously feel and show them how little you really think of them.

More importantly, does anyone know if this guy is still on a disability support pension? If so is his declaration of candidacy taken to mean that he is fit for work?

Let him run, I say. Let’s all go along to his meetings and ask the hard questions.  Even the Australian media might be prepared to follow through - surprisingly, he’s not even their favourite poster boy!

  57. VOTE ONE FOR ‘ONE CALIPHATE’

Not the most obvious candidate to run on an antiracism and multiculturalism platform given that he threw his hat in with the people who blew up the Bamyan Buddhas.

Clearly someone thinks that their onto an earner here and that they’re gonna ‘recoup’ a pile of ‘election expenses’ from the taxpayer.

Now lets see, there are about 48,000 voters in the electorate. And if you pull 4% of the vote the Commonwealth hands you $ 1.94 per vote no questions asked.  So if he pulls 11% he’ll walk away with ten grand tax-free.

Not much you might say but when your only source of income is spurious litigation and the Lebanese Back Payments Scheme, every bit helps.

I read that the number of Muslims in the Auburn electorate is about 22% - a bit higher than Bankstown or Lakemba.  That’s men, women and children.  With comparatively larger families the average age of this community is much lower and therefore Muslims would make up significantly less than 22% of those on the electoral roll.

Meanwhile, Labor holds the seat by a margin of 26.5%.

So if we make two false assumptions: one, that every Muslim voted on mass for Labor at the last election, which they didn’t, and two, every Muslim will vote on mass for One Caliphate at the next election, which they won’t, the ALP will still comfortably win the primary vote.

Now if Sussex Street gets nervous and brings out the dirt file we’ll have some seriously good reading to look forward to.

Stay tuned for some agro between rival ‘Muslim candidates.’
