7.Commence argument that Y is a wronged and legitimate government.
8.Argue that insurgent action by Y’s minions is only to be expected as a direct result of WD actions.
9.Assert that the population of X are unready for a more advanced form of government and that Y the best you could expect.
10.Commence attacks on conduct of troops involved in WD action.

You have to register to read the thing but I read it in the print edition and this ‘putz’ (good NY word) was an incredible screw up, even for a media personality.
He’s made a series of racist, sexist, and homophobic remarks over the years and he actually went into rehab for smoking crack cocaine (!!!). Who still smokes crack in this day and age?
I wonder if he was wearing parachute pants and listening to Vanilla Ice…

For a scary moment there I thought she may have made a rational statement.
When I was a kid Wirth’s Circus came to our town by train. You never lose memories of camels and elephants trundling across your back paddock in a railway truck. The circus set up in the local football ground and the next morning they found the two-metre Cyclone fence knocked over and the elephants missing. They found them in the yard of the local Catholic Church and the priest was always hopeful of them returning for a full conversion because “elephants never forget”.
