WARMING HALTED

Indiana’s Leo Morris warns of the Steinbach Effect:

It’s not likely to be as severe as the Gore Effect—probably just lower-than-average overnight temperatures.

Hmm. But what effect might be delivered by Washington DC’s Climate Crisis Action Day?

Cider magnate Rich Stadnik emails DC’s extended forecast for March 19-22:

• Monday, March 19 - High: 64 °F RealFeel®: 60 °F - Warmer with rain
• Tuesday, March 20 - High: 48 °F RealFeel®: 43 °F - Partly sunny and turning colder
• Wednesday, March 21 - High: 46 °F RealFeel®: 40 °F - Clouds and sunshine
• Thursday, March 22 - High: 46 °F RealFeel®: 35 °F - Cold with rain

It’s Montreal all over again!

  1. The world can quit worrying about global warming anyway.  America has single-handedly solved the problem by moving “Daylight’s Savings Time” ahead by 3 weeks.

    You are welcome, world!

  2. Don’t send Al here. Three days ago, the wind chill was -20, and now, at 11 am, it’s 41. It won’t be spring really until June here, but I can live with temperatures in the 40s.

  3. From the “Climate Crisis Action Day” link:

What are we asking for? Sensible solutions to global warming, a path to a clean energy future, and permanent protections for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge – a land perpetually threatened by a warming planet.

    Emphasis is mine.

Let’s see….in their view, the planet is warming.  Yet they want “permanent protections” for the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

So just what do the organizers expect for a “permanent” protection of “Arctic” conditions…..will the Fish and Wildlife Service be directed by Congress to run air conditioners all around the Refuge?

Or perhaps Congress is expected to reverse global warming, possibly by inducing a new Ice Age.

In either case, Congress controls the world!  This must be the case, no doubt proven by Congress magically creating an extra hour in the day through simple legislation that set DST a few weeks earlier.

Lord, do these idiots ever listen to themselves?

    Obviously not.

  4. We’ve just come through single-digit winter, I nearly killed myself on the ice (still limping, thanks for asking), and my skin is all pruny from lack of sun.  Why the hell should I care about “saving the Arctic”?  Give me warmening!  Now!

  5. Envirotards have such a hard-on for the Arctic. We must protect it, we cannot drill there, no pipelines, blah blah blah. If they love it so much, why don’t they f*cking move there?

Oh, yeah - frozen wasteland. Check.

  7. Hmmmm.

Frankly I find it curiously odd and quite idiotic that leftists are so intent on increasing the number of polar bears.

Considering that polar bears are a dangerous nuisance at times and outright dangerous to people at other times it’s a silly thing to want more of them.

I’d respond but I’m really grossed out by RebeccaH right now.

  9. I’m in the market for a new grill and I’m wondering which kills the most polar bears.

Do I get a gas grill which burns the unclean petroleum byproduct but makes it easy to control the cooking heat or do I go with a charcoal grill which uses renewable resources (read: deforestation and excess CO2 during the process of turning wood into charcoal) but is harder to control after the 2nd six pack?  They both spew Gaia Raping CO2 but other than that…... I just don’t know.

  10. The world’s getting a few degrees warmer, and envirotards say it’s a disaster.

Of course, if the world was already a few degrees warmer, and it was getting a few degrees cooler, they’d be panicking over that, instead.

Because, as they said, they’re fundamentally opposed to change.

  12. #11 Good Lord, how did that make it on TV?  I thought the beeb wasn’t into facts.  It’s about time what we’ve all been saying for years makes it into the mainstream.

Let’s keep in mind that alternative fuels (i.e. ones that don’t come from islamofascist nations) are always a good thing.  Let’s just not destroy ourselves persuing them.

I believe they make grills that burn both. Sounds like a win-win to me!

  15. Permanent protection for ANWAR means no drilling for the oil there, nothing else. It is apparently far better in the leftards minds to send our money to Chavez and Iran than to drill our own oil. Funny thing is, they claim there is no oil there anyway. Why worry then?

  16. I’m all for this warming thing.  We’ve had the nicest, warmest, Santa Ana winter here in San Diego this year.  I think Gore sucked all the cold weather everywhere else, and I can’t thank him enough.

(With deepest apologies to Rebecca, Wronwright, and all the rest of all ya’ll who’ve had a terrible winter.  I promise I’m not gloating or anything.  Pinky swear.)

  17. Just finished watching the swindle movie. Can’t wait to see the “debunking”, and if any of it goes beyond the “Shills of big carbon” level. I think it is devestating. Especially showing Al Gore to be, if not a liar, then an omitter of an important inconvenient fact about CO2 and temperature.

  27. The only safe Polar Bear is (a) distant or (b) extinct?
Personally, I am much more disturbed by the unnecessary deaths of Elephants, killed by the lawless poachers. If you want a heart-wrenching, tear jerking story, there is a doco about the lady who runs an orphanage for little elephants. This is just a small clip - the elephants all have a keeper who looks after them and sleeps in a shelter with them. When they are old enough they are reintroduced to the wild.
They need money to keep this going.

  29. Actually Dave S. In our new “post enlightenment” world, effect can precede cause by up to 800 years, as it does in “An Inconvenient Truth” So your retroactive prediction makes perfect sense.

Sorry I keep repeating the above about CO2 and temperature. I have known about that fact for a long time, but never realized until watching the Global Warming Swindle that Al Gore made such a big deal out of distorting it in “An Inconvenient Truth.”
