Rock stars are so stupid they actually need someone to tell them their private jets burn more fuel than lesser means of transport:

Dr Richard Betts, Climate Impacts Expert, will hold consultations with performers and suggest more energy efficient travel alternatives to the Learjet.
A Met Office spokesman said: “During the concert Richard will be backstage in order to advise any of the acts, such as Madonna and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, on climate change.”
Richard should have spoken to those Chili Pepper fellows earlier:
The Red Hot Chili Peppers will be flying in by private jet from Paris, the band’s management confirmed, then leaving by private jet tonight for a gig in Denmark.
This whole Live Earth deal is more farcical than any of us could have hoped.
