COOL THE PLANET: SHUT DOWN NETWORK
Many readers have noticed the global cooling campaign currently being conducted by the Seven Network’s Sunrise program. Comically, the show’s anti-warming crusade runs parallel with its various viewer competitions, which deliver (or have delivered) the following green-friendly prizes:
• a 4WD Nissan Murano;
• flights to the US to see Jerry Seinfeld perform;
• $6000 plasma televisions;
• New York family holidays;
• race laps at Bathurst;
• touring Australia with INXS;
• weekend flights to Melbourne;
• a flight to London to see Madonna in concert;
• a flight to Germany for the World Cup;
• family flights to New Zealand;
• flights to destinations around Australia, Queenstown and London;
And so on. Does any organisation pushing global warming actually believe in global warming to the extent that it will drastically modify its own behaviour, instead of simply demanding change from others?
UPDATE. Christopher Monckton:
On Thursday, Margaret Beckett, the [British] Foreign Secretary, compared climate sceptics to advocates of Islamic terror. Neither, she said, should have access to the media.
